This is the sharpest and cleanest print I’ve seen and a significant improvement over the other IA copies.
“Hugely imaginative” “Visually stunning” “Unique example of serious science fiction” “Inspiring” “Striking futuristic vision” (IMDB reviews quotes).
H G Wells and William Cameron Menzies present the first great science fiction/future fiction epic of the sound-film era, with a superb cast and stunning visual effects which for impact have never been surpassed. Highly recommended. IMDB rating 6.7.
Directed by William Cameron Menzies.
Released in 1936.
Complete print.

Judder
The film's optics are wonderful but its delivery is juddery. Why the crew transcoded it to 30fps is a mystery to me; too bad. The 30fps is purely progressive, so the boost to 30fps was via repeated frames. If I succeed finding a pattern to the repeated frames and to the judder, I will trim it to the original 24fps frame rate seen in cinemas.
Later: Hmmm... It appears there's also some missing frames. I can interpolate the missing frames. I may be able to generate a map of repeated frames and a map of missing frames via an ffmpeg filter string. Anyone interested? -- I assume, "Yes."

Amazing video quality
That's quite a surprise to see that this movie has been so wonderfully rescued: it's such a pleasure to watch Things To Come at last with clarity, if I may ! Thanks a lot for kindly sharing.

Running Time
The running time of this film seems to vary depending on which source you access. Its length when the title was registered with the Board of Trade in the UK early in 1936 was 8,830 ft, which is a theatrical RT of 98 mins. This almost certainly will have been its duration when it was released to British cinemas in September of the same year. So this excellent print is indeed complete.
